OPENINGS: 3-D Theatricals kicks off its 2014 musical theatre season withThe ProducersJan. 31 – Feb. 16 at Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton (press opening Sat. Feb. 1st), and then move the production to Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center for its first season of “extended” performances Feb. 21 – March 2. Based on the hit 1968 film of the same name, this Mel Brooks masterpiece chronicles the hilarious adventures of washed-up Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his mild-mannered accountant Leo Bloom, as they scheme to get rich quick by producing the most notorious flop in the history of showbiz. David Lamoureux returns to 3-D Theatricals as director & musical director and choreography is by Linda Love-Simmons.
Featured in the cast are Jay Brian Winnickas Max Bialystock, Jeff Skowronas Leo Bloom, and Hilary Michael Thompson as Ulla, with David Engel as Roger DeBris, Norman Large as Franz Liebkind, andLeigh Wakefordas Carmen Ghia. LOTTERY:The Book of Mormon, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for its National Tour, which begins January 21st at Hollywood Pantages. The production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece; cash only. This lottery will be held prior to every performance. The producers are also excited to announce that during the first week of performances (Tue Jan 21, Wed Jan 22, Thurs Jan 23 & Fri Jan 24) one lottery drawing winner will be given their ticket(s) free of charge in celebration of the show’s return to Los Angeles. Entries will be accepted at the box office beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided. Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $25 each; cash only. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing. Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner.
